VLS Scholarship Fund Memorial Day Raffle

Support the Virginia L Sweetser Scholarship Fund for Veterans Inc. through our special Memorial Day raffle fundraiser honoring the life and legacy of Virginia “Ginny” Sweetser.
This raffle brings together a meaningful collection of handcrafted family heirlooms, original artwork, and veteran-support merchandise, all donated to help fund scholarships for veterans pursuing higher education.
 
Featured raffle prizes include:
🧵 Handmade Heirloom Quilt
A beautifully preserved handmade quilt created by Ida Belle Sweetser Perry (1891–1985), a member of the historic Sweetser family basket-making tradition in Vermont. Gene and Susan Sweetser purchased the quilt directly from Belle in the late 1970s and have preserved it as a cherished family heirloom ever since.
 
🪵 Handcrafted Sweetser Basket
A handmade Sweetser basket created by Gene Sweetser using traditional family basket-making methods passed down through generations. Gene began relearning the nearly lost Sweetser basket-making tradition in honor of his daughter Virginia after she expressed interest in preserving the family craft and history. Learn More →
 
🖼️ Original Americana Oil Painting
An original Americana oil painting by Virginia’s Uncle Robert A. Lahm, whose artwork has been displayed at West Point and in the office of a United States Senator.
 
🎗️ IGY6; Veteran Support Merchandise Bundle

Winners will be randomly selected and may choose prizes in the order drawn. The first winner drawn will receive first selection from the available prizes, followed by the second, third, and fourth winners.
