The Virginia Sweetser Memorial Scholarship supports women veterans pursuing advanced degrees such as a Master of Social Work, Ph.D. in Psychology, or MD specializing in mental health and PTSD treatment. This scholarship honors Ginny’s legacy by empowering future leaders to make a profound impact in the mental health field, particularly for those affected by PTSD.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be female veterans.

Must be pursuing an advanced degree (Master's, Ph.D., or MD).

Focus on mental health or PTSD treatment in their studies.

Enrollment at one of Ginny's alma maters: UMKC, UVM, or St. Michael's College.

Application Requirements

Official transcripts.

Proof of military service.

A personal statement detailing commitment to mental health/PTSD treatment.

Recommendation letters.
